Dalawang suspek ang huli sa aktong tumanggap ng illegal shipment ng high-grade kush marijuana sa Batangas sa controlled delivery operation ng PNP-DEG, PNP-AVSEG, PDEA, BOC-NAIA, at NBI nitong Linggo, Enero 10.

Natagpuan ang 500 gramo ng kush marijuana sa parcel na ipinadala ng isang “Nina Manual” mula California, USA kay Demetria Escalona ng Brgy. Dalipit East, Alitagtag.

Arestado sina John Yengle Hernandez, 29, ng Banaybanay 1st, San Jose, may-ari ng vape store kung saan ipinadala ang pakete ng iligal na droga; at Van Joshua Magpantay, 29, ng Brgy. 3, Mataas na Kahoy, na siyang tumanggap ng parcel para kay Escalona.

“The arrested persons obviously know where this high-grade marijuana comes from. Whether they cooperate or not, we are going after their international and local sources. The PDEG has been relentless in its efforts and I commend them for helping us win the war against illegal drugs,” pahayag ni PNP Chief PGEN Debold M. Sinas.

Sa ulat, ibinigay ni Magpantay ang vape shop address sa Lipa ni Hernandez, kung saan na rin sila hinuli ng mga awtoridad.
