24 KOLEHIYO, UNIBERSIDAD PWEDE NA SA LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES — CHED

Nasa 24 na higher education institutions (HEIs) sa bansa ang pinayagan na ng CHED na magsagawa ng limitadong face-to-face classes simula 2nd semester ng AY 2020-2021.

“These HEIs have fully complied with the CHED-DOH guidelines and have been inspected by CHED and their LGUs so they can now bring their 3rd and 4th year students for hands-on training and laboratory classes in a limited face-to-face system. CHED will continue to monitor these HEIs and I am confident that they will provide safe and healthy spaces for their students in the coming months,” pahayag ni CHED Chairman J. Prospero E. De Vera III.

Prayoridad ang allied health-related degree programs tulad ng Medicine, Nursing, Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science, Physical Therapy, Midwifery, at Public Health sa pagsasagawa ng face-to-face classes para na rin makatulong dumagdag sa health system manpower ng bansa.

Sa NCR, kasama sa mga nakapasa sa mahigpit na retrofitting at health standards ng CHED, DOH, at IATF-EID ang Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Santo Tomas, University of East Ramon Magsaysay, Our Lady of Fatima University-Quezon City, Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela City, Manila Central University, at University of the Philippines-Manila.

Nakapasa naman ang Mariano Marcos State University-Batac sa Region I samantalang maaari nang mag-umpisa ang St. Louis University sa CAR.

Sa Region III, pinayagan na rin ang Our Lady of Fatima University-City of San Fernando.

Sa Region IV, nariyan ang Adventist University of the Philippines, De La Salle Health and Medical Science Institute, University of Perpetual Help-Don Jose, at Our Lady of Fatima University-Sta. Rosa.

Pwede na ring magsagawa ng face-to-face classes ang Naga College Foundation sa Region V.

Sa Region VI, nakapasa ang West Visayas State University, Central Philippine University, Iloilo Doctors’ College of Medicine, at University of Iloilo.

Pwede na ring magbukas ang Cebu Institute of Medicine at University of Cebu School of Medicine sa Region VII.

Samantala, pinayagan na rin ang Blancia Foundation College, Inc. sa Region IX.

Pwede na rin ang Xavier University at Liceo de Cagayan University para sa Region X.

Sa kabilang banda, gagawin namang vaccination centers para sa unang wave ng bakuna ang  University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Manila Central University Gymnasium, St. Louis University Baguio Gymnasium, De La Salle Medical Health Sciences Institute, Our Lady of Fatima University, at Central Philippine University.

“As the country looks forward to receiving the next batch of millions of donated and procured vaccines in the 2nd quarter of the year, we must maximize the use of large alternative venues to be readily available so that the priority groups (essential workers, seniors, the indigents) could be inoculated without further delay,” paliwanag ni Chairman De Vera.

Pinaghahandaan na rin ang susunding guidelines para sa pagpapatayo ng vaccination centers sa HEIs katulong ang CHED Public Health Experts Group, LGUs, at IATF.
