Iniulat ng National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 kahapon, Abril 21, na nakapagbukas na ng 3,263 vaccination sites ang pamahalaan sa 17 rehiyon sa bansa mula nang magsimula ang vaccination drive noong nakaraang buwan.

Ayon sa NTF, halos lahat ng available na COVID-19 vaccine doses ngayon ng bansa ay naipadala na sa lahat ng vaccination centers noong Abril 20. 

Mula sa on-hand na 3,025,600 doses, nasa 1,562,563 doses na umano ang naibigay sa priority groups sa ilalim ng vaccination program ng pamahalaan. 

Dagdag pa ng NTF, nakapagbakuna na ng 1,353,107 first dose sa health workers, senior citizens, at persons with comorbidities habang 209,456 na ang nabigyan ng second dose.

“While the government is currently vaccinating those in priority groups A1 to A3, everyone is urged to get vaccinated when it’s their turn in order to get protected against the severe form of Covid-19,” saad ng NTF sa isang pahayag.

Nauna nang sinabi ni NTF Chief Implementer at vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr. na sa kabila ng limitadong suplay ng bakuna, inaasahan umano ng pamahalaan ang pagdating ng tatlong milyong dose ngayong buwan.

Inanunsyo din ng NTF na binigyan ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ng emergency use authorization (EUA) ang Janssen na gawa ng Johnson & Johnson at Covaxin ng Bharat Biotech.
