Todo sikap ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa pagtapos ng rehabilitasyon ng ilang parte ng Pampanga River Flood Control sa Cabiao, Nueva Ecija ngayong tag-ulan sa kabila ng pandemya.

Naglaan ang DPWH ng kabuuang PhP34M sa rehabilitasyon ng kaliwang parte ng Pampanga River Control sa Brgy. Sta. Isabel; Php31.7M sa parteng nasa Brgy. San Carlos; at PhP34.4M sa nasa Brgy. Bagong Sikat.

“Inasmuch as the area relies on agricultural production as its primary source of income, DPWH knows the significance of establishing flood mitigation structures to prevent inundation and destruction of crops,” ani DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.

Sinabi ng Kalihim na tuluy-tuloy ang trabaho ng DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office sa tatlong slope protection projects sa low-lying areas sa Cabiao at kalapit na munisipalidad upang masiguro rin ang maayos na paglalakbay ng mga motorista sa Jose Abad Santos Avenue Road.

Nag-umpisa ang proyekto noong Pebrero 11, 2020 at inaasahang makukumpleto sa katapusan ng Oktubre.
