30M dose ng bakunang Novavax laban sa COVID-19, darating sa Pinas ng 2021

Inanunsyo ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. kahapon ang pagdating ng 30 milyong dosage ng bakunang Novavax na gawa sa India na tutulong sa layunin ng pamahalaang makakuha ng bakuna para sa 100 milyong Pilipino laban sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Locsin, ang Novavax ay aasahang darating sa Hulyo ng susunod na taon.

“Thirty million dosages of the Indian-made Novavax vaccines are assured, possibly with no cash advance. It will be available by July 2021,” saad niya.

Dagdag pa niya, ito ay hindi haka-haka lamang dahil nakabase ito sa press release ng Serum Institute of India (SII). 

“The term sheet might be signed before the year ends. The good thing though, remember this is not a rumor, is that this is based on a press release made by Serum Institute of India (SII), the giant manufacturer.”

Magkakaroon din ang bansa ng 2.5 milyong dose ng bakunang gawa ng biopharmaceutical company na AstraZeneca sa pamamagitan ng kasunduang pinirmahan ng pamahalaan sa pribadong sektor.

Pinaplano din ng gobyernong bumili ng 25 milyong dose ng bakuna mula sa kumpanyang Sinovac Biotech sa China na inaasahang darating sa Marso ng susunod na taon.
