Binigyan na ni Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso kahapon ng go signal ang apat pang medical schools sa lungsod na ibalik ang face-to-face classes pati na ang unti-unting pagbubukas ng clinical clerkship program ng mga ito.

Inaprubahan na ng alkalde ang kahilingan ng Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM)-College of Medicine, Metropolitan Medical Center College of Arts and Sciences, Chinese General Hospital (CGH) Colleges, at ng Manila Theological College-College of Medicine na magsagawa na ng face-to-face classes.

Sumang-ayon ang alkalde sa mga opisyal ng eskwelahan na lubos na makatutulong ang face-to-face sa medical students at iba pang estudyanteng naka-enroll sa mga kursong medikal at pangkalusugan. 

Ayon sa kaniya, ang layunin ay makapaghubog ng mga doktor, nurse, midwife, at iba pang propesyonal sa larangang ito. 

“If we can produce that next year, then at least we can continue to strengthen our medical professionals handling the situation,” saad ni Mayor Isko. 

Isinumite ng mga opisyal ng eskwelahan ang kani-kanilang health protocols alinsunod sa joint memorandum na inilabas ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at Department of Health (DOH). 

Nauna nang inaprubahan ng alkalde ang pagbabalik ng face-to-face classes sa University of Sto. Tomas (UST) at Centro Escolar University (CEU) noong Pebrero.
