Patay ang apat na pinaghihinalaang miyembro ng ISIS-inspired Dawlah Islamiya sa isang limang minutong palitan ng putok laban sa PNP SAF bandang 6:15 a.m. sa Sitio Malo Jawe Brgy. Basag T’boli, South Cotabato nitong Enero 21.

Patay sa engkwentro sina Saadin Macabangin, Narjaid Macabangin, Baharan Macabangin, at Moen Macabangin na konektado diumano sa Dawlah-Islamiya Maguid-Tadoy Group.

Sa ulat, nauna umanong nagpaputok ang mga suspek sa 41st at 42nd Special Action Company SAF troopers kasama ang T’Boli Municipal Police Station na maghahain sana ng warrants of arrest dahil sa kasong murder, direct assault, at frustrated murder.

“These suspects were also involved in the General Santos City bombing in 2018 and killing of two policemen of Polomolok MPS, South Cotabato, and are armed with illegally-possessed high powered firearms,” pahayag ni PNP Chief Police General Debold Sinas. 

Ilan sa mga nakuha sa mga suspek ang isang unit carbine na walang serial number pero may tatlong live ammunitions; isang unit caliber .45 pistol serial number 888367 na may limang live ammunitions; isang unit ng homemade caliber .45 pistol serial number 7602444 na may anim na live ammunitions; isang grenade; isang fired cartridge case ng carbine; tatlong fired cartridge case ng cal.45; 15 fired cartridge ng cal.5.56; at isang pakete ng dried marijuana leaves na tinatayang nagkakahalagang PhP300.
