40 MILYONG BAKUNA MULA SA PFIZER, MATATANGGAP NG BANSA SA IKATLONG YUGTO NG TAON

Aabot sa 40 milyong doses ng Pfizer vaccine ang nakatakdang matanggap ng bansa sa ikatlong yugto ng taon ayon sa Department of Health.

Kamakailan nang naiulat ni Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez, Jr. ang kasunduang naganap sa pagitan ng bansa at ng Pfizer.

Bukod pa sa inaasahang 40 milyong doses ng Pfizer vaccine, tatanggap muli ang bansa ng 2.2 milyong doses ng parehong bakuna mula sa COVAX facility sa mga susunod na buwan.

Matatandaang inabisuhan ng DOH ang mga lokal na pamahalaan na huwag nang ianunsyo ang brand ng vaccine na gagamitin sa mga inoculation sites matapos dumugin ng mga tao ang isang ospital sa Maynila dahil umano Pfizer ang ipinamimigay roon.

“The main objective talaga ng vaccine deployment is for us to reduce the number of infections, the number of hospitalization and reduce deaths,” paliwanag ni DOH Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire.

Bukod sa Pfizer, ilan sa ginagamit ng bansa ang bakunang gawa ng AstraZeneca, Sinovac, at Gamaleya. Milyong doses din ng bakunang gawa ng Moderna ang inaasahang darating sa bansa sa susunod na buwan.
