50 ARMADONG KALALAKIHANG NAGHASIK NG GULO SA DATU PIANG, TINUTUGIS NG CENTRAL MINDANAO POLICE

Nasa 50 armadong kalalakihan ang tinutugis ngayon ng mga operatiba ng Police Regional Office-BAR matapos maghasik ng gulo at pananakot nang dalawang oras sa townhall, Municipal Police Station, at  Sta. Teresita Catholic Church sa Datu Piang, Maguindanao kagabi ng 9:25 p.m. nitong Disyembre 3.

Inalerto na ni PNP Chief PGEN Debold M. Sinas ang PNP SAF para sa posibleng tactical support sa ongoing pursuit operation.

Ang grupo ay pinamunuan diumano ng isang “Sala” at “Commander Karialan” na may kaugnayan sa Dawlah Islamiya at Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter.

Nakatakas ang armadong grupo bago magmadaling-araw sa pagdating ng reinforcement troops ng PNP. Isang PNP patrol car ang nasunog dala ng naging pag-atake ng naturang grupo ngunit wala namang nasaktan o napaulat na iba pang pinsala.

“The police will file criminal charges against those terrorists responsible for the attack and burning of our patrol car, as we assure the Datu Piang residents of intensified security measures to prevent similar threats posed by violent extremists  in the future,” pahayag ni PGEN Sinas.
