Sigurado na umano na mayroong 25 milyong doses ng COVID-19 vaccine mula sa Sinovac ang bansa at 50,000 nito ang inaasahang darating sa Pebrero ayon sa ulat ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

“Well, wag naman kayo masyado mag-celebrate dyan dahil ang paunang darating po ay 50,000 doses lang ng vaccine galing sa Sinovac. Pero at least, magsisimula na rin po tayo,” pahayag ni Sec. Roque.

Iba pa umano ito sa ipinangakong 15,000 na bakuna ng Sinovac na gagamitin naman para sa clinical trial na gagawin sa bansa.

Dagdag pa ni Sec. Roque, inaasahang darating sa Marso ang 950,000 doses ng bakuna, tig-isang milyong doses ng bakuna sa Abril at Mayo, at dalawang milyong doses ng bakuna sa Hunyo ngayong taon.

Inaasahang darating ang bakuna mula sa Pfizer sa Hunyo at sa Hulyo naman ang mula sa AstraZeneca. Hindi rin daw malayo na magbigay ng donasyon ng bakuna ang bansang Tsina dahil na rin sa magandang relasyon nito sa bansa.

“We expect that it will be paid. But let’s see, maybe — just maybe, I’m speculating — China will donate some of it. Let’s see,” ani Roque. “After all, we do have very close relations with China,” dagdag pa niya.

Nakatakda rin umanong bumisita sa bansa si Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi ngayong Enero 15–16 at inaasahang isa sa mga tatalakayin sa gagawing bilateral meeting ang usapin tungkol sa kasalukuyang pandemya.
