Malungkot na ibinalita ng PNP ngayong Abril 13 ang pagpanaw ng isa pang pulis na isa ring legal officer sa kanilang hanay dahil sa COVID-19.

Iniulat ng PNP Health Service na nagpositibo ang 48-taong police lieutenant colonel noong Abril 1. Kahit na asymptomatic, immuno-compromised diumano ito at sumasailalim sa dialysis tatlong beses sa isang linggo bago pumanaw. Nakaiskedyul din sana ang parak na sumailalim ng kidney transplant noong Abril 10.

Pumanaw ang naka-home quarantine na pulis noong Abril 12.

Sa ulat nitong Abril 12, meron na ang PNP na 46 patay at 15,200 kabuuang personnel na gumaling. Nasa 17,637 naman ang kabuuang bilang ng kaso ng virus kung saan 2,391 dito ay aktibo.
