Nagbukas na ang bagong COVID-19 isolation facility sa South Harbor Port Area Manila na mayroong 250-bed capacity.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, ang bagong bukas na Eva Macapagal Isolation Facility ay gagamitin para sa mga pasyenteng asymptomatic at mayroong mild symptoms.
“Una itong ginawang quarantine facility noong nakaraang taon para ma-accommodate ang ating repatriated seafarers at OFWs na kinakailangang sumailalim sa required 14-day quarantine,” pahayag ni Sec. Roque.
Malaki umano ang maitutulong nito upang mabawasan ang kapasidad ng mga pagamutan sa Metro Manila.
Kabilang sa dumalo sa groundbreaking ceremony nito sina Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, Testing Czar Vince Dizon, at Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade.
Samantala, isa pang isolation facility ang itinayo ng Department of Public Works and Highways sa Camp Olivas San Fernando Pampanga nito lamang Abril 23.
Nakapaloob ang pasilidad na ito sa Philippine National Police Region 3 headquarters at mayroon itong 32-bed capacity.
Layon ng gobyerno na makagawa ng mahigit 100 isolation facilities ngayong buwan ng Abril upang maabot ang 26,000 isolation beds quota nito.
