Mula Bicol, ibinalik sa main office ng Department of Health (DOH) ang 7,500 doses ng bakunang gawa ng AstraZeneca dahil depektibo umano ang thermometers na kalakip sa bawat container ng naturang bakuna.

“The thermometer was defective, so we didn’t know if the vaccines were still within the allowed temperature which is between 2 to 8 degrees Centigrade,” pahayag ni DOH Bicol Public Affairs Chief Noemi Bron.

Kailangan umanong nakaimbak ang bakuna sa container na mayroong temperatura mula 2 hanggang 6 degrees Celsius.

Ayon pa kay Bron, matapos mamataang depektibo ang thermometer, ipinatigil muna ang pamimigay nito sa publiko.

Subalit ayon sa DOH, maaari pa umanong gamitin ang mga ibinalik na bakuna mula sa Bicol.

“We have yet to receive the official report on this, but preliminary findings show that the temperature device was faulty and the vaccines remain in usable condition,” paliwanag ng DOH.

Kabilang ang isinauling 7,500 doses ng bakuna sa 22,000 doses ng AstraZeneca vaccines na ipinamahagi sa Region 5 nitong Marso 10.
