Patay ang diumano’y mastermind sa robbery-slay ng isang company messenger na pinagnakawan ng kalahating milyong pisong halaga ng payroll sa Valenzuela noong Oktubre 2020 nang makipagbarilan sa mga pulis nitong Marso 17 sa Lipa City, Batangas.

Nasawi sa nasabing operasyon si Anthony Glua Cubos alias “Big Boss” matapos magpaputok matapos magpakilala ang mga pulis na maghahain sana ng kanyang warrant of arrest dahil sa kasong robbery with homicide na inisyu ni Hon. Snooky Maria Ana Bareno-Sagayo, Presiding Judge RTC Br. 283 ng Valenzuela City.

Si Cubos diumano ang mastermind ng pagpatay kay Niño Luegi Hernando, 39, matapos pagnakawan ng PhP442,714.00 company payroll pagkalabas nito ng isang banko sa Maysan Road.

Dating pulis si Cubos na nag-AWOL at naiulat na siyang lider ng Cubos Criminal Group na sangkot sa kidnapping, robbery extortion, at gun-for-hire, at illegal drug activities.

Tatlong suspek na rin na kasama diumano ni Cubos ang naaresto na kinilalang sina Jo-Ann Cabatuan, Edgar Batchar, at Michael Castro habang dalawa pa ang pinaghahanap ng batas na sina Rico Reyes alias “Moja”, 21, at Narciso Santiago alias “Tukmol”, 37.

“The PNP manhunt operations are underway to locate and put behind bars the two remaining suspects of the slay. We assure the family of Mr. Hernando that justice would be served,” saad ni OIC Chief PNP, Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar.
