LUNGSOD NG QUEZON — Kasabay ng pangakong magiging transparent sa deliberasyon ng 2021 budget, nagbabala rin si House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano na hindi magiging madali ang budget hearing para sa mga departamento ng gobyernong may isyu ng korupsiyon.
“I must give fair warning to the departments, and this is simply echoing what the President said: if we find out that you’re offline, if we find out na hindi kayo maabot ng constituents, delayed sa inyo–nag-online nga kayo, hindi naman makarating–don’t expect a smooth budget hearing or a good budget next year,” pagdidiin ng House Speaker.
Nanawagan din ang Tagapagsalita ng Mababang Kapulungan sa lahat na “magbayanihan” sa pagsisiguro ng transparent at accountable na budget para sa susunod na taon. Aniya, maaaring maiparating sa Kongreso sa social media man o email ang anumang suhestiyon.
“We will work together diligently with the Senate, our counterparts, with all the sectors. We invite media to scrutinize every part of the budget, and we will work with the Executive to come up with a very, very good budget in 2021,” paniniguro ng Speaker.
Bagama’t sinabi rin ng House Speaker na magkasundo ang parehong House majority at minority na prayoridad ang mass transportation, internet, health infrastructure, tourism, at agriculture sa 2021 budget.
Planong ipasa ng Kongreso ang naturang budget bago ang katapusan ng Setyembre.
