COMELEC NAKATANGGAP NA NG 2.7M VOTER APPLICATIONS

Iniulat ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) kahapon, Abril 26, na nakatanggap na sila ng 2.7 milyong aplikasyon para sa voter’s registration. 

Ayon sa datos nito noong Abril 20, sinabi ng COMELEC na nakatanggap na sila ng 2,770,561 na aplikasyon mula sa mga gustong maging botante sa loob ng pitong buwan. 

Pinakamataas dito ang Region 4-A (CALABARZON) na may 396,529 applications. Sumunod naman ang NCR na may 295,357, Region 3 na may 271,869, at Region 7 na may 202,370.

Ang rehiyon na may pinakamababang applicants ay ang Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) na may 42,204. 

Layunin ng COMELEC na makapagrehistro ng nasa apat na milyong bagong botante para sa eleksyon sa 2022. 

Kasalukuyan pa ring nagpapatuloy ang voter’s registration sa bansa maliban sa mga lugar at probinsyang nasa ilalim ng Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) hanggang Abril 30 tulad ng Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Abra, Quirino, at ang bayan ng Santiago sa Isabela. 

Tumatanggap ang Offices of the Election Officer (OEO) sa mga siyudad at munisipalidad ng aplikasyon para sa pagpaparehistro mula Lunes hanggang Huwebes.
