Binuksan na ang pinakamalaking “We Heal As One” COVID-19 quarantine facility para sa Southern Tagalog Region nitong Sabado, Nobyembre 14, sa Calamba, Laguna.

Sa 600 bed capacity, 550 ay para sa mga nagpositibong pasyente na mild at asymptomatic samantalang nakatalaga naman ang natitirang 50 sa mga medical frontliner na itatalaga sa pasilidad.

Ang dating regional government center ng CALABARZON na ngayon ay airconditioned na mega quarantine facility ay mayroong cubicles, nurse stations, quarters para sa healthcare workers, at toilets at shower rooms para sa mga pasyente.

Dinaluhan ang ceremonial blessing at turnover ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary at Isolation Czar Mark Villar; Chief Implementer of the Philippines’ Declared National Policy Against COVID-19 Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.; Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año; Head of DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local and National Health Facilities DPWH Undersecretary Emil Sadain; at mga miyembro ng DPWH Task Force Technical Working Group na sina Bureau of Design Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Director Aristarco Doroy, Bureau of Construction Director Eric Ayapana, OIC Assistant Director Edgardo Garces, at Regional Office 4A OIC Assistant Regional Director Jovel Mendoza.

Through this platform, Balita Central Digital aims to reach further the online community to deliver more accurate information and communication services in order to educate the citizenry regarding national issues which would enlighten them to be engaged and be empowered in contributing to building a better nation.
