Natukoy na ng gobyerno ang 4,512 fixed vaccination points sa bansa kung saan ipatutupad ang COVID-19 immunization, ayon kay Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

Aniya, magiging katulad ang vaccination plan ng gobyerno sa pagpunta sa election poll sites, at gagamitin umano ang mga medical centers at rural health facilities upang maipatupad ito.

Bawat vaccination team ay magkakaroon ng anim na staff isang doktor, isang nurse o midwife na mamumuno sa screening at assessment, isang allied professional o volunteer para sa health education, isang doktor, nurse, o midwife na mamumuno sa pagbabakuna, at dalawang health workers o volunteers mula sa partner agencies na itatalaga para sa documentation at pagkuha ng vital signs.

Ang vaccination process naman umano ay nahahati sa limang yugto: registration, pre-vaccination education and counselling, screening pati na rin ang medical history review, vaccination at issuance ng immunization card, at ang post-vaccination monitoring at surveillance.

“Sisikapin ng ating bawat vaccination team na makapagbakuna ng 100 pasyente po sa isang araw,” pahayag ni Sec. Duque.

Dagdag pa niya, aabot sa tatlong team ang maaaring ipadala sa bawat vaccination site kung kaya’t inaasahang aabot sa 300 katao ang maaaring mabakunahan sa isang araw.

Ayon kay Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez, Jr., inaasahang masisimulan ang vaccine rollout sa bansa sa Pebrero at inaasahang mababakunahan ang humigit kumulang 50 hanggang 70 milyong katao ngayong taon.
