DA naglaan ng 2.2 bilyong piso para sa mga magsasakang lubos na naapektuhan ng Bagyong Ulysses

Inanunsyo ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ang paglalabas ng Php2.2 bilyon bilang tulong sa mga magsasakang lubos na naapektuhan  ng Bagyong Ulysses sa Cagayan Valley.

Inihayag ni DA Secretary William Dar sa isang briefing noong Linggo na Php846 milyon ang nakalaan para sa probinsya ng Cagayan habang ang Php986 milyon ang matatanggap ng Isabela. Ang Nueva Vizcaya naman ay makakatanggap ng Php148 milyon habang ang probinsya ng Quirino ay bibigyan ng Php96 milyon.

Nasa tinatayang 73,181 na magsasaka at mangingisda at 71,466 na ektarya ng lupaing pang-agrikultura ang apektado sa pananalanta ng bagyo.

Kabilang ang mais, bigas, high value crops, at iba pa sa mga apektadong produkto kung kaya’t magsisimula na ring mamahagi ang ahensiya ng binhi upang masimulan na ang rehabilitasyon sa mga nasirang taniman.

Patuloy pa rin ang isinasagawang Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDANA) ng mga regional field offices ng DA upang tukuyin ang laki at halaga ng pinsala sa sektor ng agrikultura at pangingisda sa mga lubos na apektadong lugar.
