DA: ‘PRICE CAP SA MANOK, BABOY HANGGANG ABRIL 8 NA’

Pinalawig ng pamahalaan ang price cap sa baboy at manok hanggang sa susunod na buwan upang maibsan ang epekto ng inflation rate o ang pagtaas ng presyo ng mga bilihin sa bansa. 

Ayon kay Department of Agriculture Secretary William Dar, patuloy na ipapatupad ang nasabing price cap hanggang sa Abril 8, 2021.

Dagdag pa ng Kalihim, ang pag-alis ng naturang price cap ay mangangahulugan ng pagtaas ng presyo ng baboy at manok sa gitna ng mga kaso ng African swine fever na patuloy na nakakaapekto sa produksyon ng nasabing mga karne sa bansa.

Noong nakaraang buwan, ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagpapatupad sa price cap sa mga piling karne na ibinibenta sa National Capital Region. Kabilang na rito ang price cap sa kasim at pigi na nasa P270 kada kilo, habang nasa P300 kada kilo naman ang price cap para sa liempo. P160 kada kilo naman ang price ceiling na ibinigay para sa karne ng manok. 

“The current retail prices of basic necessities in the National Capital Region such as pork and chicken have increased significantly, causing undue burden to Filipinos, especially the underprivileged and marginalized,” saad ng Executive Order No. 124 ni Pangulong Duterte. 

Ayon naman sa Malacañang, pansamantala lamang ang naturang pagtaas ng presyo ng mga bilihin sa merkado. 

“We are intensifying efforts to ease inflation through immediate interventions. We have implemented proactive measures,” pahayag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
