LUNGSOD NG QUEZON — Winakasan na ng Philippine National Police (PNP) Intelligence Group sa pakikipagtulungan ng mga lokal na yunit ng pulisya ang 15 taong pagtatago ng dalawa sa most wanted persons ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa magkahiwalay na operasyon nito sa Davao del Norte at Ilocos Norte.

Nalambat si Willer Salbosa Advincula sa bisa ng alias warrant of arrest na inisyu noong 2005 para sa kasong murder ng mga operatiba ng Regional Intelligence Unit 11 at tauhan ng Island Garden City of Samal Police Office noong Agosto 4 sa Purok 2 Brgy. Kanaan Kaputian District 3 Island Garden City ng Samal, Davao del Norte. Si Advincula ay may patong na P90,000 sa tala ng DILG.

Nadakip din ang murder suspek na si Zaldy Pineda Zabala ng mga operatiba ng PNP noong Agosto 4 sa Brgy. 12 Namuroc Vintar, Ilocos Norte na may naitala nang P140,000 pabuya.

“Even in times of pandemic, our police operations and intelligence-driven initiatives are underway against criminals, threat groups, and most wanted persons,” pahayag ni PNP Chief Police General Archie Gamboa.

Nauna nang nahuli ng PNP sa San Fernando, Pampanga ang ex-congressman na si Ruben Ecleo, Jr. na No. 1 Most Wanted ng DILG sa bisa ng arrest warrant na inisyu ng Sandiganbayan First Division dahil sa kasong graft.
