DAMAGE ASSESSMENT SA TINUPOK NA OPERATING AREA NG PGH, INIUTOS NA NG DPWH

Iniutos na ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar ang structural assessment at pinakamabisang engineering solution sa Philippine General Hospital (PGH) matapos tupukin ng apoy ang third floor service wing ng gusali sa Taft Avenue, Manila.

Gagawin ang assessment sa naging pinsala sa gusali kapag pwede nang linisin ng PGH ang mga apektadong area matapos makuha ang go signal sa Bureau of Fire Protection na inaasahang ibibigay ng Martes.

Nagsagawa na rin ng visual observation ang DPWH Secretary nitong Mayo 17, kasama si Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., Secretary Vince Dizon, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, DPWH Undersecretary Emil Sadain, DOH Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega, PGH Director Dr. Gerardo Legaspi, at DPWH Directors Eric Ayapana at Aristarco Doroy.

Bubuuin ang composite team ng DPWH-NCR, South Manila District Engineering Office, Bureau of Construction, Bureau of Research and Standard, and Bureau of Quality and Safety.

Handa ring tumulong ang DPWH sa PGH sa clean-up operations ng huli habang nagsasagawa ng core drilling at laboratory tests para sa structural durability ang mga technical personnel ng ahensya.

Planong isumite ng DPWH ang initial findings nito sa susunod na linggo.
