DOH at IATF tatalakayin ang bagong travel restrictions sa bansa ngayong araw

Tatalakayin ng Department of Health (DOH) at Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang mga bagong travel restrictions sa bansa kasunod ng mga ulat ng pagkakaroon ng bagong strain ng SARS CoV-2 na nagmula sa United Kingdom sa iba pang bansa.

Kahapon ay inutusan ni DOH Secretary Francisco T. Duque III ang mga eksperto at technical team ng ahensiya na i-review ang mga panukala para sa mas mahigpit na control measures para sa mga manggagaling sa mga bansang may naiulat na kaso ng bagong variant ng SARS CoV-2.

Ang mga rekomendasyong ito ay paguusapan sa pulong ng IATF-EID ngayong araw.

Sa pakikipagtulungan nito sa World Health Organization, nakatutok ngayon ang DOH sa mga bansang may ulat ng mga kaso ng bagong strain ng virus. Kabilang dito ang Hong Kong, Singapore,at Australia ayon sa huling ulat ng ahensiya.

Bukod sa mandatory 14-day quarantine para sa mga indibidwal na manggagaling sa mga bansang ito, tinitingnan din ng DOH ang posibilidad ng pagbabawal sa pagpasok ng mga ito sa bansa.
