DOH: MGA NAGPOSITIBO SA COVID-19, DAPAT MUNANG MAG-ANTAY NG 90 ARAW BAGO MAGPABAKUNA

Ayon sa Department of Health, ang mga indibidwal na nagpositibo na sa SARS-CoV-2, o ang virus na sanhi ng COVID-19, ay nararapat munang mag-antay ng tatlong buwan bago magpabakuna kontra sa sakit. 

Gayunpaman, sinabi ni Department of Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na hindi naman kinakailangan pang sumailalim ang isang indibidwal sa COVID-19 testing bago ito mabakunahan. 

“According to our experts and according to WHO (World Health Organization) recommendation, we don’t need to have a test for those who are going to receive the vaccines. Ang kanilang tanging paalala of course if you have had the virus, you were detected, you have to wait 90 days before you can receive the vaccines,” pahayag ni Vergeire, na tagapagsalita rin ng Kagawaran. 

Ayon sa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ng Estados Unidos, mas malaki ang posibilidad na tamaan muli ang isang indibidwal na dati nang nagpositibo sa COVID-19 90 araw mula nang ito ay mahawaan ng naturang sakit. 

Ngayong buwan ay nakatakda nang simulan ng pamahalaan ang pagbabakuna laban sa nasabing karamdaman. 

Mauunang makatanggap ng COVID-19 vaccine ang health workers mula sa Philippine General Hospital sa Maynila, Lung Center of the Philippines at East Avenue Medical Center sa Quezon City, at Dr. Jose Natalio Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center (Tala Hospital) sa Caloocan City.
