DOLE POSIBLENG MAGSAGAWA NG COVID-19 VACCINATION PARA SA MGA MANGGAGAWA SA LABOR DAY

Magkakaroon ng pagkakataon ang mga lokal na manggagawa pati na ang OFWs na mabakunahan sa darating na Mayo 1 ayon kay Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III.

Ayon kay Bello, ang posibleng vaccination na ito sa Labor Day ay plano ni National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr. 

“Aside from the jobs fair and job summit, if ever there are vaccines available, according to Sec. Galvez, he will be rolling out the vaccination program on May 1 for our workers especially to our overseas Filipino workers (OFWs),” saad ni Bello sa isang virtual presser. 

Sa kabila nito, ayon kay Bello, hindi raw nabanggit ni Galvez kung ilang doses ng bakuna ang gagamitin para sa aktibidad. 

“He didn’t say the quantity. What is important, he said, is a good symbolism that on May 1 during the Labor Day celebration, the workers, especially the OFWs will get vaccinated,” paliwanag niya.

Bukod sa planong pagbibigay ng libreng bakuna sa mga manggagawa, magsasagawa rin ng online job fair ang DOLE sa Mayo 1.

Tinitingnan umano nila ang isang plaza malapit sa Manila City Hall bilang vaccination site. Ayon kay Bello, hihingi sila ng permiso sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Maynila para gamitin ito.
