Inanunsyo ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar kahapon ang pagtatapos ng dalawang health facilities sa loob ng Quezon Institute compound sa Quezon City na ibibigay sa Department of Health (DOH) sa Martes, Disyembre 23.
Ayon kay Villar, ang mga modular health facilities na may kabuuang 44 bed capacity ay patatakbuhin ng mga medical team mula sa DOH at Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.
Ang Quezon Institute Offsite Modular Hospital ay para sa mga may moderate at severe na kaso ng COVID-19.
Nagsagawa ang DPWH Task Force for Augmentation of Local and National Health facilities na pinangungunahan ni Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain ng mga ocular inspection sa Quezon Institute compound upang mapabilis at siguruhin ang pagtatapos ng mga dagdag na health care facilities.
Samantala, ang mga dormitoryong nakalaan para sa medical personnel na nakatalaga sa operasyon ng Quezon Institute ay nasa 64-bed capacity.
Dagdag ni Sadain, may tatlong karagdagang unit ng modular hospital para sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19 na may 66 beds ang inaasahang matatapos sa Pebrero ng 2021.
