Dry run ng face-to-face classes sa ilang lugar, inaprubahan na ni Pangulong Duterte

Inaprubahan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pilot implementation ng face-to-face classes sa piling paaralan sa mga lugar na low-risk areas na ipatutupad sa darating na Enero.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, nagmula ang rekomendasyon sa Department of Education mismo at inaasahang makikipag-ugnayan sila sa COVID-19 National Task Force upang masigurong masusunod ang minimum health standards at iba pang safety measures sa magaganap na dry run.

Samantala, nilinaw naman ni Sec. Roque na hindi mandatory ang gagawing dry run ng face-to-face clsses at kakailanganin pa rin umano ng permiso mula sa mga magulang bago makalahok ang estudyante rito.

“We need to emphasize that face-to-face classes in schools where these may be allowed will not be compulsory, but rather voluntary on the part of the learners or parents,” ani Sec. Roque.

Dagdag pa ni Sec. Roque, “Having said this, a parent’s permit needs to be submitted for the student to participate in face-to-face classes.”

Matatandaang nitong Hulyo, ipinagbawal ni Pangulong Duterte ang pagpasok ng mga estudyante sa paaralan hangga’t wala umanong COVID-19 vaccine sa bansa. Aniya, maaaring sa Enero ng susunod na taon pa ipanumbalik ang face-to-face classes upang maprotektahan ang mga estudyante sa virus.

Bunsod ng pangyayaring ito, ipinatupad ng mga paaralan sa bansa ang blended distance learning nitong Oktubre na gumagamit ng internet-based sessions, radyo at telebisyon, gayundin ng modules upang makatulong sa pag-aaral ng mga estudyante sa panahon ng pandemya.
