DTI INALIS NA ANG LIMITASYON SA PAGBILI NG FACE MASKS, DISINFECTANTS

Inilabas ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) noong Huwebes, Oktubre 15 ang Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 20-54, kung saan tinanggal nito ang ibinigay na limitasyon sa pagbili ng disinfecting alcohols, hand sanitizers, disinfecting liquids, at N95 at N88 face masks.

Ang nasabing hakbang ay ginawa ng DTI matapos tiyakin ng manufacturers at retailers na sapat na ang suplay ng mga nabanggit na produkto habang umiiral ang Coronavirus disease 2019 o COVID-19 public health emergency.

Nakumpirma rin ito ng Kagawaran sa pamamagitan ng regular monitoring.

Ayon pa sa nasabing kasulatan, malayo ang tsansang maulit ang mga kaso ng hoarding sa mga nagtitinda at panic buying sa mga konsumer.

Ma na dati nang naglabas ang DTI ng MC No. 20-36 Series of 2020 na nagsasaad na maari lamang makabili ang mga mamamayan ng hanggang isang kahon na naglalaman ng 50 face masks, limang bote ng alcohol, hand sanitizers at disinfectants na mas mababa sa sukat na isang litro, at tatlong bote naman kung ang mga ito ay nasa isang litro pataas. 

Ito ay upang maproteksyunan ang mga mamimili laban sa hoarding at panic buying, at masigurong tama ang presyo at may sapat na suplay ng naturang mga produkto sa merkado noong kasagsagan ng pagpapatupad ng mas mahigpit na community quarantine sa bansa.
