Nakatakdang magpatupad ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ng mas striktong health protocols sa mga establisyimento upang higit na makontrol ang pagkalat ng Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Ayon kay Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, nagpulong nitong Miyerkules ang IATF Technical Working Group mula DTI, Department of Health, Department of Labor and Employment, at ilang eksperto upang talakayin ang panibagong panuntunan na ipatutupad sa mga susunod na araw.
“We need to further strengthen our safety protocols by having health protocol officers, more training, and reporting of cases, isolation rooms in factories, premises and offices or arrangements in another area for shared facility for affected workers to augment the government isolation quarters,” pagdedetalye ni Sec. Lopez.
Dagdag pa niya, maaaring makipag-ugnayan ang mga micro business enterprises sa kanilang barangay kung nahihirapan umano ang mga ito sa pagsunod sa isolation room requirement.
Iginiit din ng Kalihim ang paggamit ng RT-PCR swab test sa halip na rapid test sa pag-detect ng virus. Aniya, isa ito sa itinuturong dahilan sa pagdami ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
