DTI sa MSME IS Act: Pag-aralan at gamitin ang umiiral nang information system

Sa ipinalabas na position paper ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ukol sa panukalang information system para sa micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), sinabi nitong maaaring pag-aralan muna ang mga umiiral nang government information systems at online marketplaces at databases para sa MSMEs na pwedeng palakasin na lang o palawakin para maabot ang parehong layunin ng panukalang batas.

Isinumite ng DTI ang posisyon nito noong Nobyembre 6 sa Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development ng House of Representatives. Ang HB 7400 ay una nang ipinanukala ni Manila Teachers Partylist Rep. Virgilio S. Lacson.

Layon ng panukalang magtayo ng isang MSME Information System na magbibigay ng synchronized at real-time commodity supply inventory at registration system ng mga MSME sa bansa. Layon din nitong palawakin ang naaabot na consumers ng MSMEs.

Sinabi ng DTI na sapagkat ang access to market ang isa sa key areas ng enterprise development sa ilalim ng MSME Development Plan 2017-2022, pinapalakas na ng ahensya ang digital technologies at applications nito upang bigyan ang MSMEs ng online marketplace kung saan maaari ng mga itong i-showcase sa mas malawak na komunidad ang kanilang mga produkto at serbisyo at hindi lang sa kanilang mga lokalidad.
