Face shields, ipipilit na ayon sa DOTr

LUNGSOD NG QUEZON — Obligado na ang lahat ng commuters ng lahat ng pampublikong transportasyon na magsuot ng face shields simula Agosto 15 upang mas maiwasan ang hawaan sa COVID-19.

Ipinag-utos na ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa mga opisyal ng lahat ng sektor sa transportasyon kabilang na ang tren, bus, jeep, taxi, passenger vessel, at eroplano ang sapilitang pagsusuot ng face shields ng lahat ng pasahero sa bisa ng DOTr Memorandum Circular No. 2020-014.

“Sa mga kababayan ho natin, huwag sana nating isipin na panibagong gastusin o dagdag abala ang pag-require natin sa paggamit ng face shield. Let us remember that no amount of protection is too much when it comes to health and safety, especially that we are battling an invisible enemy. What we are addressing is not a transport issue but rather a health issue. Kaya nga ho hinihingi ko ang kooperasyon ng bawat isa,” pahayag ni DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade.

Siguruhin lamang na ang gamit na face shield ay tatakip sa ilong at bibig ng mga magsusuot nito.

“Mayroon po kasing mga tinatawag na visor, goggles, o ‘yung iba pang protective eyewear that only encloses the eye area. We advise that our passengers use the ones that cover the whole face. It’s actually meant as a redundancy of the protection of the face mask,” paliwanag ni DOTr Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Artemio Tuazon, Jr.

Bukod sa face shields, tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang implementasyon ng istriktong pagsusuot ng face masks, pagsunod sa social distancing, at paglilinis ng kamay sa mga pampublikong transportasyon. Hindi rin pinapayagan ang paggamit ng cellphone habang nasa loob ng mga pampublikong sasakyan.
