Gobyerno, pribadong sektor, pumirma na ng kasunduan para sa 20M doses ng Moderna vaccine

Lumagda na ng kasunduan ang gobyerno at ang pribadong sektor ng bansa upang makakuha ng COVID-19 doses mula sa Moderna.

Aabot ng 20 milyong doses ang kukuning bakuna ng bansa sa pangunguna ni Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez Jr. at Enrique Razon na kinatawan ng pribadong sektor kung saan pitong milyon dito ay ilalaan sa pribadong sektor.

Hindi pa umano malinaw kung kailan darating ang bakunang ito sa bansa subalit nabanggit kamakailan ni Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez na maaaring dumating ang mga ito sa katapusan ng buwan ng Mayo o sa unang linggo ng Hunyo.

Samantala, iniulat rin ni Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion ang posibilidad ng pagdating ng isang milyong dose ng Covaxin ngayong Abril na nakalaan sa pribadong sektor.

Subalit kasalukuyan pang pinoproseso ang emergency use authorization ng naturang bakuna.

Sa kabila nito, pinasalamatan naman ni Galvez sina Razon at Ambassador Romualdez sa tulong ng mga ito upang makuha ang mga bakunang gawa ng Moderna.

Nakapagtala ng 94 porsyentong efficacy rate ang bakunang gawa ng Moderna at aprubado rin ng bansang Amerika ang emergency use nito.
