IATF BINABALANGKAS NA ANG NEW NORMAL RULES PARA SA MGA LUGAR NA WALANG COVID-19 TRANSMISSION

Inanunsyo ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na pinag-uusapan na ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) ang mga panuntunan sa ilalim ng quarantine classification na ‘new normal’, na ipapatupad sa mga lugar sa bansa na wala nang naitalang kaso ng pagkahawa sa COVID-19.

Ayon sa tagapagsalita ng Pangulo, magkakaroon ng deklarasyon ng ‘new normal’ areas. Binubuo na lamang ngayon ng IATF-MEID ang mga dapat at hindi dapat gawin sa ilalim ng klasipikasyong ito.

“Sa gayon po, no, magkaroon tayo ng pag-asa na talagang may katapusan din itong COVID-19 pandemic na ito dahil although wala pang bakuna, e, may mga lugar na na walang transmission at meron po talagang mga lugar na ganyan,” saad ni Roque.

Dati nang kasama ang ‘new normal’ sa quarantine classifications, ngunit pansamantala itong inalis ng IATF sa listahan noong Hunyo ng nakaraang taon. Sa ilalim ng klasipikasyong ito, maaaring makabiyahe ang mga indibidwal at walang business restrictions na ipatutupad sa lugar basta’t susundin lamang ng publiko ang minimum public health standards.

Sa kasalukuyan ay may apat na quarantine levels sa bansa: ang pinakamahigpit na enhanced community quarantine (ECQ); sumunod ang modified ECQ; general community quarantine (GCQ); at ang pinakamaluwag na klasipikasyon, ang modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

Ipinatutupad ang MGCQ sa mas madaming lugar sa bansa, samantalang may mangilan-ngilan namang nananatili pa rin sa GCQ, tulad na lamang ng Metro Manila.
