Iniulat ng Department of Health nitong Lunes, Mayo 31 ang ilang rehiyon sa bansa na kinakitaan ng pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19.

Sa ulat ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, kasama sa listahan ang Caraga, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Ilocos Region, at Central Visayas.

Ayon kay Usec. Vergeire, naobserbahan ng DOH ang Ilocos Region at Central Visayas na noo’y negatibo ang growth rate ng virus subalit positibo na ngayon, indikasyon ng pagtaas ng kaso sa parehong lugar.

Samantala, pinakamataas ang average daily attack rate (ADAR) sa Cagayan Valley na umaabot sa 8.8 sa bawat 100,000 katao kasunod ang Cordillera Administrative Region na mayroong ADAR na 8.4 sa bawat 100,000 katao.

Ayon sa guidelines ng DOH, maituturing nang mapanganib kung lalagpas sa pito bawat 100,000 katao ang ADAR sa isang lugar.

Sa kabila nito, iginiit ni Usec. Vergeire na mas dumami na rin ang testing outputs sa ilang lugar sa Visayas at Mindanao.

“Nakikita natin ‘yung pagtaas ng testing outputs sa mga lugar na naaapektuhan ngayon ng pagtaas ng kaso, at dito sa NCR, nakikita natin ang kaunting pagbaba [ng testing],” pahayag ni Usec. Vergeire.

Sa kasalukuyan, umabot na sa 50,000 tests bawat linggo ang isinasagawa sa Visayas mula sa 46,000 tests habang 42,000 tests bawat linggo naman ang isinasagawa sa Mindanao mula sa 29,000 tests.
