INFLATION RATE NG PILIPINAS SA BUWAN NG OKTUBRE, TUMAAS SA 2.5 PORSYENTO

Bahagyang tumaas sa 2.5 porsyento ang inflation rate ng bansa noong buwan ng Oktubre, mas mataas kumpara sa naitalang 2.3 porsyento noong Setyembre, ayon sa huling ulat ng Philippine Statistics Authority.

Paliwanag ni PSA Undersecretary at national statistician Claire Dennis Mapa sa isang virtual press briefing, malaki ang papel ng pagkain, partikular ang karne at isda, at non-alcoholic beverages sa pagtaas na ito. 

Tumaas ang index ng mga nasabing produkto sa 2.1 porsyento at may katumbas na 33.2 porsyento na share sa kabuuang inflation rate. Ang presyo ng karne ay tumaas nang 4.7 porsyento noong Oktubre mula sa 2.9 porsyento noong Setyembre, habang ang presyo ng isda ay tumaas sa 3.7 porsyento mula sa nakaraang 2.6 porsyento.

“The source of increase in prices is basically Luzon, particularly provinces that are near the NCR,” dagdag ni Mapa.

Ang average price increase ng mga pangunahing pangangailangan at serbisyo sa unang sampung buwan ng taon ay nananatili sa 2.5 porsyento.
