KARAGDAGANG COVID-19 TEST PARA SA MGA PAPASOK SA BANSA, IMINUNGKAHI NG DOH

Iminungkahi ng Department of Health ang pagkakaroon ng karagdagang COVID-19 test para sa lahat ng papasok ng bansa, ayon kay Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

Kailangan umanong sumailalim ang inbound passengers sa swab test pagdating sa bansa at sumailalim muli sa panibagong swab test limang araw habang nasa quarantine upang masigurong negatibo ang mga ito sa COVID-19 bago payagang makauwi sa kani-kanilang bahay.

“Our agreement with the technical working group of IATF, we will be revising our protocol where we will be testing when they get to their place of destination, especially for international travelers. And they get to be tested again after five days,” pahayag ni Usec. Vergeire.

Sa kasalukuyang protocol, kinakailangang sumailalim ang mga inbound passengers sa swab test pagdating sa airport at pansamantala silang tutuloy sa isang government-accredited hotel o facility habang hinihintay ang kanilang resulta. Kapag negatibo ang resulta, hinahayaan na umanong makauwi ang mga ito sa kanilang bahay subalit mas mabuti pa rin umano kung tatapusin ng mga ito ang itinakdang 14-day quarantine.

Pag-uusapan umano ng Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases ang suhestiyong ito subalit aalamin pa kung may sapat na kakayahan ang bansa upang maipatupad ito.

Kamakailan, lumabas na nagpositibo ang tatlo sa mga co-passengers gayundin ang nobya ng pasyente na nagpositibo sa bagong strain ng COVID-19 sa bansa na nauna nang sumailalim sa swab test at nagnegatibo sa unang trial.
