Libo-libong pamilya sa Visayas at Mindanao inilikas bunsod ng Bagyong Auring

Libo-libong pamilya mula sa Visayas at Mindanao ang inilikas bago ang projected landfall ni tropical storm Auring sa bansa ayon sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Mahigit 3,162 na pamilya ang nailikas mula sa Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, at CARAGA region.

Sa pinakahuling ulat ng NDRRMC, umabot sa 44 na bahay ang napinsala ng malakas na hangin at ulan sa Surigao del Norte at Surigao del Sur.

Dalawang daan at isang tulay naman ang kasalukuyang hindi madaanan sa Eastern Visayas at Northern Mindanao.

Samantala, bunsod ng sama ng panahon na nararanasan sa Visayas at Mindanao, sinuspinde na ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Calatrava, Romblon ang pasok sa trabaho ngayong Lunes.

Bilang paghahanda, ibinahagi na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development ang initial relief stockpiles at standby fund na aabot sa 1.2 billion.

Naglaan din ang Department of Health ng gamot, medical supplies, at health kits na nagkakahalaga ng 19.5 milyong piso.

“We ask the public, especially residents of affected areas, to remain vigilant, be prepared and ready for possible evacuation in case their local authorities advise them to do so as a precautionary measure,” panawagan ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Inaasahan ang landfall ni Auring ngayong Linggo ng gabi hanggang Lunes ng madaling araw sa Dinagat Islands, Eastern Samar gayundin sa Leyte ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
