Naniniwala ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na isang malawakang information campaign gayundin ang pagsasapubliko ng pagpapabakuna ng mga opisyal ng gobyerno ang magiging sagot upang makumbinsi ang  iba pa na magtiwala sa vaccination program ng pamahalaan.

Target umano ng DILG na mabakunahan ang 80 porsyento sa buong populasyon ng Metro Manila subalit sa isang survey na isinagawa ng DILG, lumabas na tatlo sa bawat sampung tao lamang sa Metro Manila ang nais mabakunahan.

“The government won’t force the public to be vaccinated, but we assure them that efforts are being intensified to encourage those who doubt the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine,” ayon kay DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing.

Ayon pa kay Usec. Densing, nakabase umano ang alokasyon ng mga bakuna sa mga lugar na mataas ang kaso ng infection rate tulad na lamang ng Metro Manila.

Dagdag pa niya, bago mabakunahan ang isang indibidwal, kailangan umanong ipaliwanag ang brand ng bakunang gagamitin.

Maaari rin umanong tumanggi ang isang indibidwal na mabakunahan ng bakunang mula sa gobyerno at pumila muli sa bakunang galing sa lokal na pamahalaan.
