Matapos ihayag na maaari nang lumabas at magpunta sa mga mall ang mga menor de edad kasama ang kanilang mga magulang sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng General Community Quarantine (GCQ), nilinaw ni Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año na magiging ganap lamang ito kapag nakapaglabas ang mga lokal na pamahalaan ng kani-kanilang mga panuntunan o ordinansa patungkol rito.

Nilinaw ni Sec. Año ang nauna niyang pahayag matapos igiit ni Metro Manila Police Chief Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao na hindi pa umano papayagan ang mga menor de edad sa loob ng malls sa lugar na nasa ilalim ng GCQ.

Nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 30, inanunsyo ni Sec. Año na maaari na umanong lumabas ang mga kabataan at ito aniya’y parte ng gradual expansion ng age groups na maaaring lumabas sa gitna ng banta ng COVID-19 sa bansa.

“Para na rin sa kapaskuhan ay doon sa ipinag-utos nating pwede ng gradual expansion ng age group para makalabas, ang mga minors, basta accompanied ng mga magulang ay papayagang makalabas at magpunta sa mall,” pahayag ni Sec. Año.

Inaasahan umano ni Sec. Año na mailalabas ng mga lokal na pamahalaan ang kani-kanilang mga ordinansa ngayong linggo kung saan nakasaad ang age bracket ng mga menor de edad na papayagang makapunta sa mga malls.

“We are still awaiting the common resolution of NCR Mayors on what age bracket of minors who would be allowed to go to the malls accompanied by parents/guardians. They promise to pass it this week,” ani Sec. Año.
