Naniniwala ang gobyerno na sa tulong ng implementasyon ng mas istriktong two-week quarantine restriction sa Metro Manila at mga karatig probinsya, malaki umano ang posibilidad na bumaba ng 25 porsyento ang kaso ng COVID-19 dito.

Tinawag na NCR Plus ang community quarantine na ipinatupad kamakailan sa National Capital Region at sa mga probinsya ng Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, at Rizal kung saan patuloy pa rin ang implementasyon ng General Community Quarantine subalit may karagdagang restriksyon na ipinatupad mula Marso 22 hanggang Abril 4.

“We’re estimating that with these measures and at the end of the two-week period, that the numbers would drop by at least 25%, but we’re hoping for more,” pahayag ni Sec. Roque.

Umapela rin siya sa publiko na manatili na lamang sa bahay kung wala namang essential activity na gagawin sa labas lalo na’t paparating na ang long holiday na gaganapin sa Semana Santa.

Sa resolusyon na inilabas ng inter-agency task force nitong nakaraang linggo, tanging essential travel lang ang papayagan papasok at palabas ng bubble. Sa kabila nito, siniguro ng pamahalaan na mayroong sapat na pampublikong transportasyon ang publiko.

Limitado rin ang public gatherings sa sampung katao tulad ng kasal, binyag, at funeral services. Gayundin ang kaso sa restaurants na kailangang magpatupad ng takeout, delivery, at al fresco dining alinsunod sa panuntunan ng inter-agency task force.

Hinihikayat din ang pagpapatupad ng 30-50 porsyentong on-site capacity sa mga pribadong kumpanya tulad umano ng kasalukuyang ipinapatupad sa gobyerno.

Ipinatupad ang bagong panuntunan na ito kasabay ng sunud-sunod na pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19 mula noong nakaraang linggo.
