Magbibigay ng tulong pinansyal ang lokal na pamahalaan ng lungsod ng Maynila sa 600 na pamilyang nawalan ng tirahan dahil sa sunog sa Tondo na nagsimula noong Sabado ng gabi. Inaprubahan ni Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso kahapon ang Php10,000 financial aid para sa bawat pamilyang nawalan ng tirahan dahil sa sunog. 

“Nalulungkot tayo sapagkat may limang nasawi sa malaking sunog na naganap na naman sa Parola. Umasa kayo mga taga-Parola na ilang araw mula ngayon ay pipilitin natin na makabalik kayo agad sa inyong mga tahanan na tinupok ng apoy,” sabi ni Domagoso sa flag-raising ceremony na isinagawa sa Lawton. 

Ayon sa ulat mula sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), nagsimula ang sunog noong Sabado ng gabi at tuluyang naapula noong Linggo ng umaga. Nasa 300 bahay umano ang nasira ng apoy.

Limang katao ang nasawi sa nasabing sunog habang limang indibidwal naman ang nagtamo ng mild injuries. 

Ang mga apektadong pamilya ay inilikas sa P. Guevarra Elementary School.
