MAYNILA NATANGGAP NA ANG 3K DOSE NG SPUTNIK V PARA SA PILOT ROLLOUT

Natanggap na ng Maynila ang nakalaan ditong 3,000 doses ng Sputnik V vaccine mula sa pamahalaan ngayong araw, Mayo 3, para sa pilot rollout.

Kasama ni Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso si Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna at Manila Health Department acting chief Dr. Arnold Pangan sa pagtanggap ng delivery. 

Ang Taguig, Makati, Parañaque, at Muntinlupa ay makatatanggap din ng 3,000 doses para sa pilot rollout. 

“As per the Department of Health, the 3,000 doses are for the first doses. There will be another batch for the second doses. If clearance and guidance will be given today, we are ready to deploy,” saad ni Domagoso. 

Ang frontliners na hindi pa nakatatanggap ng COVID-19 vaccines ay uunahing bakunahan ng Sputnik V na may efficacy rate na 91.6 percent.

Pagkatapos ng dalawa hanggang tatlong araw, isusunod naman ng lokal na pamahalaan ang mga nasa A2 at A3 categories sa priority list. Sa ngayon ay sa Sta. Ana Hospital at Ospital ng Maynila pa lang maaaring magpabakuna ng Sputnik V. 

“Due diligence kailangan natin gawin. As you can see, metikuloso ‘yung handling, even the condition na kailangan para sa Gamaleya Sputnik,” dagdag ni Domagoso. 

Iilang medical frontliners na lamang daw sa anim na district hospitals ang hindi nabakunahan ng COVID-19 vaccines. Karamihan sa mga ito ay mga doktor at nurse na mas gusto ang ibang brand na bakuna maliban sa Sinovac at AstraZeneca na nauna nang ginamit sa pagbabakuna. 

Ayon pa kay Domagoso, mas tumaas na ang tiwala ng publiko sa COVID-19 vaccine. 

“Nu’ng unang araw namin, naka-170 lang kami. Sumunod 300, sumunod 1,000, so, nagkaron dati, totoo ‘yung takot pa muna. Pero ngayon baligtad na. Kinakapos na ‘yung bakuna sa demand ng tao na gustong magpabakuna. Kahapon may dumating kami na 4,200. In a matter of six hours, naubos,” saad niya.
