Hindi umano malayong ipatupad muli ang Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine sa panahong mapuno ang mga ospital at temporary treatment facilities, ayon kay National Task Force Against COVID-19 Consultant Dr. Ted Herbosa.
Ayon kay Dr. Herbosa, dahil umano punuan ang mga pagamutan, maaaring dumami ang masawi sa virus dahil hindi agad nabigyan ng agarang lunas ang mga ito.
“Usually, we will go back to MECQ when hospitals and temporary treatment facilities are already fully occupied,” pahayag ni Dr. Herbosa.
“When hospitals are full, more people may die because they cannot treat them. They are waiting in line for admission,” dagdag pa niya.
Nito lamang nakaraang Sabado, nakapagtala ang bansa ng limang libong bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa, pinakamataas matapos ang pitong buwan.
Naramdaman na rin ng ilang ospital sa National Capital Region ang pagtaas ng bilang ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa at ilan sa mga ito ay punuan na ang bed capacity.
Kamakailan, ang naitalang 9,745 bagong kaso sa bansa sa loob ng 72 oras ang pinakamataas na bilang ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa loob ng tatlong araw sa Western Pacific, ayon sa ulat ng World Health Organization.
