MEGA TASK FORCE AGAINST CORRUPTION, HINIKAYAT ANG PUBLIKO NA MAGREKLAMO KAUGNAY NG KORAPSYON SA GOBYERNO

Nagpulong ang mga miyembro ng Mega Task Force Against Corruption sa pangunguna ng Department of Justice (DOJ) kahapon upang piliin ang mga kinatawan ng secretariat o operations center na siyang tatanggap ng reklamo mula sa publiko.

“Sa ngayon, ang Secretary of Justice nagbigay ng direktiba sa secretariat na mag-organisa muna, ‘yun ang unang step para makausad na itong mega task force para mabigyan din namin ng direksiyon ang publiko kung saan magre-report,” pahayag ni DOJ Spokesperson Usec. Emmeline Villar.

Noong nakaraang buwan, ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa DOJ na imbestigahan ang korapsyon hanggang matapos ang kanyang termino sa 2022.

Sa kasalukuyan, kinilala ng DOJ ang Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Land Registration Authority, at Department of Public Works and Highways bilang mga ahensyang una sa listahan nito.

“Titingnan na din po ng secretariat o operations center ang mga existing COA (Commission on Audit) report at mga investigative pieces na nagawa ng media in the past tungkol sa mga alegasyon ng korapsyon at ‘yun po muna ang uunahing tingnan ng operation center o secretariat ng task force para malaman kung ano ‘yung mga uunahin naming iimbestigahan,” paglilinaw ni Usec. Villar.

Samantala, nilinaw din ni Usec. Villar na bukas sa publiko ang programang ito at maaari rin silang magpadala ng suhestiyon, reklamo, o iba pang impormasyon na may kinalaman sa korapsyon sa gobyerno.

Maaari ring isailalim sa DOJ’s Witness Protection Program ang mga magrereklamong takot para sa kanilang kaligtasan. Kaagapay umano nila sa gagawing imbestigasyon ang Commission on Audit, Civil Service Commission, at ang Office of the Ombudsman.
