METRO MANILA MAYORS HINDI PABOR SA MULING PAGBUBUKAS NG MGA SINEHAN

Hindi pabor ang mga alkalde ng Metro Manila sa naging desisyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases na buksan na ang mga sinehan sa Metro Manila na kasalukuyang nasa ilalim pa rin ng General Community Quarantine.

Ayon kay Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez, maaaring maghain ang Metro Manila Council ng apela sa ginawang desisyon ng IATF lalo pa’t wala umano itong wastong konsultasyon.

“Ang isang napansin lang po namin dito ay tungkol sa sinehan kasi hindi po nagkaroon ng proper consultation po tungkol po sa specifics, tungkol sa sinehan,” pahayag ni Mayor Olivarez.

Dagdag pa niya, “Alam naman po natin ang sinehan, enclosed po ‘yan at mahigit po na isang oras sa gathering ng — sa enclosed at air-conditioned.”

Isa rin sa mga inaalala ng mga alkalde ang muling pagbubukas ng video at inter-active arcades.

“’Yan po yung isa pa naming worries, kasi halos dikit-dikit po ‘yan at enclosed ‘yun at alam po natin na hindi pa po pinapayagan ang mga bata para po lumabas,” ani Mayor Olivarez.

Bagama’t hindi sang-ayon ang mga alkalde sa naging desisyon ng IATF kamakailan, pumayag naman ang mga ito na itaas sa 50 porsyento ang capacity para sa religious gatherings.

“Sang-ayon lahat ng Metro Manila mayors na payagan ang 50 percent capacity sa mga religious gatherings, provided na ‘yung minimum health protocols ipatutupad din po iyan,” paliwanag ni Mayor Olivarez.

Dagdag pa niya, “Nakikita naman po natin na open air naman ang ating mga simbahan so ‘yun pong contamination, mako-control po ‘yon.”
