MGA PASYENTENG MAY MILD SYMPTOMS NG COVID-19, ILILIPAT NA SA QUARANTINE FACILITIES — DOH

Upang makatulong sa mga ospital na kasalukuyang overcapacity, nagdesisyon ang gobyerno na ilipat ang mga nagpositibo sa COVID-19 na asymptomatic o nakararanas lamang ng mild symptoms sa quarantine facilities tulad ng hotels o isolation centers.

Ayon kay Department of Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, kabilang sa mga ililipat sa naturang quarantine facilities ang healthcare workers na nakararanas ng mild to no symptoms.

Dagdag din niya, hindi umano maaaring pumili ang mga pasyente kung saan sila ililipat subalit siniguro niya na magiging kumportable ang lilipatang lugar.

Sa kanyang ulat, aabot sa 400 pasyente na hindi nangangailangan ng critical care ang maaaring ilipat upang magbigay daan sa mga severe o malalang kaso. Dahil dito, 40 porsyento ng beds allocated ang magiging libre para sa mas nangangailangan nito.

“Kapag tiningnan ang census natin sa ospital, kapag matanggal ang mild at asymptomatic, luluwag ang ating mga ospital at magkakaroon ng enough space for patients who really need hospitals the most,” pahayag ni Usec. Vergeire.

Ang paglipat ng mga pasyenteng may mild symptoms ay isa lamang sa mga planong balak gawin ng gobyerno upang mabawasan ang bilang ng pasyenteng kasalukuyang nasa mga ospital.

Ngayong linggo, ipatutupad na rin ang triaging sa buong Metro Manila kung saan magsasagawa muna ng assessment ang isang local health officer sa sintomas ng isang pasyente kung nararapat na ba itong ilipat sa ospital o sa quarantine facility.

Bukod pa rito, magtatayo na rin ng karagdagang tents sa ilang ospital upang makatanggap pa ng karagdagang mga pasyente.
