Lungsod ng Quezon — Arestado ang tatlo sa sub-leaders ng Namang Criminal Group na sangkot sa illegal trading ng loose firearms at bentahan ng illegal drugs sa QC, Pasig, at Rizal bandang 10:00 a.m. nitong Pebrero 20 sa kanilang residente sa Brgy. Baesa.
Nakilala ang mga suspek na sina Maricel Amante, 27; Ricardo Oquindo, 50; at Kemson Saplic, 29, ng No. 24 F Carlos, Brgy. Baesa.
Isinagawa ang operasyon ng joint operatives ng CDFU CIDG at Talipapa PS-3 sa bisa ng search warrant na inisyu ni Hon. Virgilio V Macaraig, Executive Judge ng Br. 37, RTC, Manila, dahil sa paglabag diumano ng mga suspek sa RA 10591 o Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Nakumpiska sa mga suspek ang isang cal.38 revolver na walang serial no., isang improvised shotgun, ilang ammunitions, limang gramo ng shabu na tinatantiyang nagkakahalagang PhP20,000.00, isang suppressor, dalawang weighing scale, at drug paraphernalia.
Kakasuhan ang mga ito ng paglabag sa RA 9165 o The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Kakasuhan din si Amante ng paglabag sa RA 10591 o The Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition and Regulation Act.
