Isang dating NCRPO pulis ang huli sa entrapment operation ng mga operatiba ng PNP Maritime Group dahil sa diumano’y extortion noong Disyembre 4, 8:30 p.m. sa Bañera St. Navotas Fish Port Complex Brgy. North Bay Boulevard South, Navotas City.

Inireklamo si Don De Quiroz Osias, 39, na nagpanggap diumanong miyembro ng PNP Maritime Group, ng extortion ng apat na driver ng fish delivery trucks sa lugar.

Huli sa akto ng Maritime Unit undercover operatives na nagpanggap ding truck drivers si Osias nang tanggapin nito ang marked money. Nabaril din si Osias sa binti matapos tumangging magpaaresto at umaktong may bubunutin sa baywang.

“I commend the police operatives for these risk-taking efforts just to run after anyone who tries to besmirch the gains of many good cops and our agency at large,” sinabi ni PNP Chief Police General Debold M. Sinas.

Kasong Robbery/Extortion, Direct Assault, Resisting Arrest at Usurpation of Authority ang naisampa na kay Osias sa City Prosecutor’s Office ng Navotas City.
