LUNGSOD NG QUEZON — Mananatiling activated ang National Response Clusters para kay Typhoon Ulysses habang patuloy ang monitoring at response ng grupo sa mga apektado ng Super Typhoon Rolly.

Sa ipinalabas na Memorandum No. 99, s. 2020 ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, tatakbo ng 24/7 ang virtual coordination center ng Cluster na aayusin ng Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) kapalit ng Emergency Operations Center para iwas sa COVID-19.

Ang mga cluster leads ng mga sumusunod ay inaatasang gamitin ang lahat ng communication channels at regular na magsumite ng report ukol sa bagyo araw-araw ng alas-sais ng umaga sa Vice-Chair ng Response Cluster, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), at OCD: Food and Non-Food Items (DSWD); Camp Coordination and Camp Management (DSWD); Internally Displaced Persons Protection (DSWD); Health (Department of Health); Logistics (OCD); Emergency Telecommunications (Department of Information and Communications Technology); Education (Department of Education); Management of the Dead and Missing (Department of the Interior and Local Government); Law and Order (Philippine National Police); at Search, Rescue, and Retrieval (Armed Forces of the Philippines).

Balita Central is under the supervision of the Bureau of Communications Services (BCS), one of the attached agencies of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

Launched on February 28, 2019 at the Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2 (LRT-2) Cubao Station, Quezon City, it also aims to raise awareness among local communities about the policies, programs, and accomplishments of the Presidency. 

Through this platform, Balita Central Digital aims to reach further the online community to deliver more accurate information and communication services in order to educate the citizenry regarding national issues which would enlighten them to be engaged and be empowered in contributing to building a better nation.
