Upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga pasyenteng hindi na mai-admit sa mga ospital dahil sa overcapacity, magtatayo umano ng karagdagang modular facilities ang gobyerno, ayon sa National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19.

Ayon kay NTF Spokesperson Retired Major General Restituto Padilla, mayroon ng modular facilities na naitayo sa ilang ospital at madadagdagan pa umano ito sa mga darating na araw sa tulong ng Department of Public Works and Highways.

“Dito sa Quezon City makikita natin meron nang ibang itinayo galing sa DPWH. May mga itinayo na ginagamit ay mga container vans. Modular ‘yan. ‘Yung iba naman na mabilisan ay mga tent. Ito ay bilang karagdagan doon sa mga kinakailangang pasilidad na kailangan idagdag sa mga ospital na panay punuan na,” paglilinaw ni Padilla.

Kamakailan, iniulat ng Department of Health na naging prayoridad umano nila ang pagtatayo ng modular tents sa iba’t ibang ospital sa Metro Manila dahil sa sunud-sunod na ulat ng overcapacity ng mga pagamutan bunsod ng COVID-19.

Nakipag-ugnayan na umano ang mga sumusunod na ospital upang agarang mabigyan ng modular tents:

  • Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC)
  • Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium (Tala)
  • Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center
  • Tondo Medical Center
  • National Center for Mental Health
  • Lung Center of the Philippines
  • National Kidney and Transplant Institute
  • San Lazaro Hospital

Sa ulat ng DOH, nakatakdang itayo ang modular tent ng JRRMMC at San Lazaro Hospital sa darating na Sabado, Abril 10.

Samantala, maglalaan naman ng apat na tent ang World Health Organization na gagamitin bilang local government unit-based triage areas.
